Ihe U-10 girls team played Culpeper to an exciting 1-1 tie in their first game of the season. For many of the girls it was their first soccer match ever. Everyone played incredibly well: passing, backing each other up, attacking and defending the goal. Taylor Light, in her first game, played goalie like a pro in the second half, making a dozen saves.

Marcella Wallace made many saves in her first time as goalie also, and scored the tying goal on the opening play of the second half. Morgan Flournoy was terrific on defense.

The U-10 Yellow Jackets coached by Camille Racer and assistant Tony Caporuscio, had an awesome match against Oz Paces U-10 Rapp team. The win went to the Yellow Jackets with incredible passing and teamwork.

Congratulations are due Gary White, of Paces team, ■ for a beautiful save, of a direct kick from 15 yards out of the goal. Also, on Paces team is Gregory Flournoy , having had awesome footwork that wowed the crowd! The defensive line on the Yellow Jackets was hard to beat. With Michael Caporuscio and Austin Burnett as goalies, each for a half, the goal was hard to penetrate.

Congratulations to both teams for a well played match!

Final score - 2 - 1 Yellow Jackets.

Coach George Rosenbaum and assistant Brian Ross met with the U-12 team at Emerald Hill to play a well drilled and disciplined Culpeper team.
