House tour, dried flower show
The annual house tour and dried flower show sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20 and 21. The Saturday show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday the tours will run from 1 to 5 p.m. For additional information call the church at 675-3716.
Clinic will be open Sept. 19
The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Sept. 19 and not again until Oct. 3. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Health Department Building. RRRCs annual meeting set
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission will host its Annual Meeting 2001 and Affordable Housing Workshop on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Fauquier Springs Country Club in Warrenton. The afternoon workshop will focus on strategies to increase affordable housing opportunities in the region. For additional information call 829-7450.
Health programs planned
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center:
Sept. 19 at 1 p.m., program on “Gout” byCheryfl Green of the Winchester Health Department, and on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m., exercise program by Karen Gemdt of Culpeper Regional Hospital.

Playgroup to resume Oct. 1
Country Kids Playgroup will resume on Monday, Oct. 1 at the Jeffersonton Community Center. New families are welcome to join. The playgroup is a non-profit group for parents/caregivers and children ages infant to five.
It meets every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon from October through April. Toys are provided. Crafts and activities are planned. Optional field trips are also planned. Minimum dues are collected to defray cost of rent. Call Kim Whitham at 341-7488 for more information or directions.
