In January of 1975, Dr. Jerry Martin and Dr. Werner Krebser opened the Rappahannock Medical Center in Washington in a brick building they built on Gay street. Dr. Werner Krebser has retired, leaving Dr. Jerry Martin as the only practicing physician in the county.
Coming soon, Dr. John McCue D.O. is opening a family practice and emergency medicine at 12715 Lee Highway. This will be called Mountainside Medicine.
It gives satisfaction to have medical doctors available rather than to travel to other places for medical needs.

The Old Hollow reunion was held Sunday with 65 present. It was first started in 1967 by Mrs. Jessie Gaunt Palmer and Mrs. Ruby Dwyer and the help of others.
Instead of it being for any particular family, it is for all those who have lived and grew up in the Hollow. Some of us are related and for those who are not related, it is just “one big family” gathering. When you see those you have not seen for a long time, it’s like you have
