Board Of Supervisors:

A Resolution of Commendation & Appreciation

WHEREAS, the Rappahannock County Lady Panthers Varsity Softball Team has won the 2001 Virginia State Division 1 Softball Championship; and,

WHEREAS, the Lady Panthers and their coaches traveled throughout the State in pursuit of this goal, performing with great sportsmanship and unequalled success at every contest; and,

WHEREAS, Head Coach Jon W. Smythe and Assistant Coaches Sheron Boddie and Richie Burke, assisted by Score Keeper Kim Breeden and support staff Kelly Settle, Cindy Thornhill, Cathy Kreyling, Rose Ann Sharp, Judy Deal and Paul Gall combined to help our Lady Panthers achieve their great success; and,

WHEREAS, the Board wishes to recognize as individuals the members of the Championship Lady Panthers Team of Kelly Atkins, Ashleigh Burke, Molly Burke, Dana Caldwell, Ryisha Cook, Jamie Deal, Brandy Early, Danielle Hiserman, Gwen Johnson, Lara Kreyling, Eva Mills, Rachel Sharp and Brittany Thornhill.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, meeting in a regular session on September 5, 2001, does hereby commend, congratulate and applaud both each and every member of the Lady Panthers Softball Team and their coaching and support staff, for a Championship Season, and for representing Rappahannock County with skill and dignity throughout the Commonwealth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be provided to Rappahannock County High School Principal Joseph Perine as well as to Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Gangel.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be published in the Rappahannock News to remind the entire community of this great achievement.
