I am sure this is the first time
I’ve ever felt strong enough about a topic I read in the Rappahannock News, which I acted upon. Last week I read what several of my former colleagues wrote. I am bothered by what I hope the general public doesn’t go away with.
The RCPS system is one of the finest in our state. Our small size allows us to react quickly to the ever changing Cole of educators in today’s Ajvorld. While the pay isn’t at the bottom of the scale in comparison in the state, many nearby Counties do manage to find the funding to retain their professional work force through salary, incentives, and benefits commensurate with the job to <JoI I - | have seen employees leave for many reasons. Those that stay in education and go to a higher paying county, have always had that reason, at least partially, in leaving Rappahannock. ! I’m sure that if I took the time, I could find over 20 professionals currently employed at RCHS with collectively 100 of years of experience that would agree my posing the following questions.
