The U-12 “Green Dragons,” played a well orga- r nized and high spirited game • defeating Culpeper’s Runyon ' team by a score of 4-1. The team was led by striker Daniel Rollins scoring all four goals and striker Joey Wenk with his excellent attacks with the ball and his ' assists.
Filling in very well as the goalkeeper position was Cory Winters, who held the other team scoreless. There were only 11 players on the Rapp team, which left no substitutes.
The team players held their positions and worked together tirelessly to achieve an overwhelming victory. Go Green Dragons!
The U-14 “Riot” travelled to Culpeper’s Emerald Field' for a match up with Coach Crooks team. A very evenly matched contest was scoreless through most of the fiist' half as both teams played very good soccer.
Chris Harris scored the' first goal for “Riot” and was assisted by many teammates moving the ball around. At the half, we were up by one and playing better than at the start of the game. - '
“Riot” coaches were very pumped at half time and reset the positions for the second half attack. Coaches' Pendleton and Gillis were very pleased with the attack on the ball their team * is training for and in second half action, “Riot” scorted again as Chris Harris scored again from a beautiful throw in up the touch line.
Final score was left at '2-0 and that leaves “Riot” undefeated in U-14 co-ed play. Ry Wellemeyer and Tommy Gillis were the big defense helping to shut out Culpepei*. Go Riot! •
