Lucy Caudill

Lucy Catherine Caudill, 72, of Linden died Friday, Sept. 14 at her residence.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Randy Orndorf. Burial was private.

Mrs. Caudill was bom Dec. 26, 1928 in Washington, Va.

Surviving are her husband, Michael L. Caudill.

Katherine Wayland

Former resident

Katherine Brown Wayland, 86, of Culpeper died Saturday, Sept. 15 at Culpeper Health Care Center.

She was bom Feb. 3, 1915 to Atha L. and Esther Jenkins Brown of Rappahannock County.

Mrs. Wayland was a member of Five Forks Regular Baptist Church at Woodville.

She is survived by a sister, Lucy Brown Creel of Culpeper, with whom she made her home for the past nine years.

Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Lester Wayland; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams of Culpeper and Annie Poe of North Carolina and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Chester T. Wayland; a brother, J. Floyd Brown; a half-brother, Richard Brown and two sisters, Beulah Armentrout and Lucille Corbin.

Memorial services were conducted on Monday, Sept. 17 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. Roger Smith and Rev. Jerry Bobo officiating.

Interment was in the Woodville Cemetery.
