My dad always told me the grass isn’t that much greener on the other side of the fence. I believe the former teachers will come to better appreciate RCPS, the longer they are gone.
Ever since the Tbtal Quality Management era at RCPS, I’ve felt empowered as a teacher. Though negative comments from educators themselves and the public media, I think this method of management has been downplayed to near extinction. This is a loss to our school system. I invite everyone to read the paper, “Changing Roles” that I believe was written about me by the now Superintendent of Page County Schools, Dr. Bob Chappell was my principal at the time.
The current school year Rappahannock High is off with many positive events. I recommend the public get more involved if this means only being aware of the impressive things our students will accomplish in 2001-2002.
