Mayor’s letter was in error when it stated that there was “no work started” because he had applied for a building permit and hired an engineer as a result of discussions with the Building Office, and was currently awaiting the permit which he “understands was approved.”
Mr. Kramer then addressed the issue of the off-street parking requirement that he contended was unevenly applied to him, and that began a long and sometimes thorny exchange of views with Council members.
Mayor Willis suggested, on a number of occasions, that the issue could be resolved if Mr. Kramer were to reapply for the Special Use Permit, and Mr. Kramer agree that he might do so, but that he needed first “to talk to my lawyer.”
Treasurer’s report
Mayor Willis presented the Tbwn financial report for the month. He noted consolidated assets of $652,973.85 and Water Works current assets of $11,342.43 through the end of the August period.
