Mutuels open next at New Kent County's Colonial Downs, which opens for a three-week harness meet Oct. 12-30. Racing is at night on a Friday-through-Tuesday basis.
Colonial Downs is standardbred racing's only “one-turn mile’”’ a pacer. Ultimate Falcon, recorded the second-fastest mile in history there in 1998, 1:47 4/5.
