Major challenges to Rappahannock County’s scenic beauty and environment, including cell phone towers, land application of sewage sludge and proposed residential development, will be the focus of the annual meeting of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Rappahannock County High School. Of course. What’s more - they can! The Scholastic Book Fair is currently underway at Rappahannock County Elementary School Library and ? will continue through Friday, Oct 26. The fair brings the best; books r and learning product#^ from more than 150 publishers to readers of all ages and is open to the community. The Book Fair features traditional children’s favorites and new works by popular authors and illustrators. Parents and teachers will find plenty to interest them too. The fair is open each school day ; from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. A spe- , cial family event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 8:16 a.m. until 8 p.m., during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Everyone is welcome! 4 Building classroom libraries is one goal of the fair.'
