Orange Crush.
Conor O'Heir and Seth Wayland scored for the Crush. In the end. a good time was had by all and the two U-8 Rappahannock teams left the field in good spirits and comraderv. Coach Letsen’s U-8's defeated Madison 5 - 3 at Madison Wrangler with James Mullins scoring three goals and TV Bigelow one goal.
The.U-10 girls were shut out 3-0 by a skilled Madison team. The Rapp girls were impressive though, keeping the first half scoreless. Brittani Dodson and Christine Pankow played their hearts out, working tirelessly up and down the field. Sarah Hazel played another great game at midfield, dropping back to cover the middle of our goal and clearing the ball repeatedly. Many parents commented afterward on the ball skills the girls have developed as well as their ability to play as a team. It was a great team effort from everyone.
The Rappahannock Rockets blasted their way through another tough game on Saturday. The team had some trouble with penalties but pulled through to tie 3-3. Austin Burdick played forward as a new strategy and did he deliver! The passing was incredible as was the receiving from Burdick. He was able to get off one goal in the first half, and came across with the second goal to tie up the game.
Jacob Racer showed his fancy footwork and stole the ball from Culpeper to score from the penalty line. A beautiful boot into the net and the game was tied. We had a full team Saturday and we were very happy to have the bake sale
