Did you know that each year “Apple Butter” lovers come to Rappahannock County to get their yearly “Apple Butter fix”. Some drive many miles just to buy a pint or two, a quart or even a case of 12 jars. Once the “store” is open for business, the jars go really fast.
The apple butter making process is very “labor intensive” and involves most of the club members, and usually some Lion wives and neighbors to gather, wash, cut up, haul, cook, bottle and label, as well as sell
