• Over the past few days, several folks from the community have asked what goes on in the schools after hours each day. You just wouldn’t believe it! Every Monday and Wednesday for sixteen weeks of the year RCES sponsors the Community *After School Enrichment (CASE) program.
Community is the key word in this program. CASE invites children from around the community (home-schooled and private-schooled children, as well) to participate in a variety of classes including drama, yoga, dance, art and music. We are fortunate to have the most amazing instructors and our children love the experiences they receive.
Program Coordinator, Denise Kruczynski, is constantly looking for skilled instructors to teach, and she invites you to call if you are interested in future programs (987-8259).
• On Tuesdays and Thursdays at both RCES and RCHS teachers and aides (K12) stay after hours to work with many children who need additional help in given areas of study. This opportunity is appreciated by the many students and parents who take advantage of it. Activity buses #are available at 5 p.m. on those •days to deliver children to their 'home communities. Our test scores attest to the success of this program!
• Intramural activities for children in Grades 4-7 take place every day. Grades 4 and 5 stay on Mondays and Tuesdays; Grades 6 and 7 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Coach Rhonda Jenkins has been reporting high attendance (more than 35 some days!), and tremendous skill development among the students who stay. This is a wonderful program for all children regardless of their skill levels. Learning the basics of a sport, even if you are not a lifelong participant, will enhance
