The blues is coming back to Sperryville! The Dinah Pehrson Band will be returning to the Blue Moon Cafe on Oct. 20 to play their eclectic blend of classic and original blues music.

With her smoky, earthy vocals and understated, yet powerful stage presence, Dinah Pehrson is the catalyst for the music her all-star band weaves together.

She is backed by Vincent Day’s smokin’ guitar work and strong vocals; Bucky Clark’s mind-blowing, beyond-theblues saxophone excursions; Warren Jobe’s precision drumming; Craig Reid’s deep, groovin’ bass; Bill Fldmonds’ dynamic keyboards; and Dan Sebring’s sizzlin’ hot violin.

In addition to their regular appearances at clubs, the band also appeared at this year’s Charlottesville Dogwood Blues Festival and the Daylily and Wine Festival in Augusta County.

Following their show at the Blue Moon Cafe, the band’s next appearances will be at the Mountain View Grill in Crozet on Nov. 3, and the Byers Street Bistro in Staunton on Nov. 17. The band will also appear at First Night Harrisonburg on New Year’s Eve. For booking information, contact Vince Ruark at 540324-0367, or email vruark@rica.net.
