The U-14 RIOT played Coach Hutehinds Culpeper team at RCHS. RIOT was in good form from the kick-ofT as they kept Culpeper tiying to catch up. RIOT made frequent substitutions keeping fresh legs where Culpeper wanted to play their game and gain some momentum. Coach Pendleton’s RIOT was up at the half but kept his players levelheaded about their lead.
Second half was more ' intense as the first with RIOT dominating most all of the field. Carlos Flores and Chris Harris had the goals again this week with assists coming from everywhere. Samantha Harlow , Paige Lysaght and Gunner Propst controlled the mid-field while the defense led by Ry Wellemever and Keeper Tbmmy Pendleton took away the Culpeper offense that got to close. Culpeper was kept to one goal and one successful PK and RIOT put five into the net and many more all around it. Coach Tbm was very pleased with the game and said “...everyone’s confidence is growing and not just with themselves but with what they can do together. They all challenge each other so well now that they have to work harder just to play at practice.” Final score 2-5 GO RIOT
The U-18 Rapp team hosted Madison at home at RCHS. Any time Madison and Rapp get - together it is an exciting soccer game. Keeper Jeremey Graves was hot on the action, up until he was kicked in the face as he was diving to save the ball.There was no goal for Madison but injured Jeremy had to come out.
Madison’s attack was constant with Adrianne Moore at , midfield and Patrick Lawery at ■* sweeper, they were kept busy getting the ball back into Rapps possession. Jeremy was back at Keeper in second half allowing Zack Ashby , Juan Tisera and others to get some good shots on goal but Madison held all Rapp attempts off. Madison takes this one back home with a 3-0 shut out.
