• As you can imagine, our athletic teams use the facilities for team practices on a daily basis, sometimes including weekends and very early mornings! Cheerleaders have their practices after school as well. Games, of course, are always 'Immediately after school or in the evenings. | • The RCHS Weight Room is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. for those who have memberships. Due to space limitations the memberships are allotted on a first come-first served basis; if you are interested in using the Weight Room facility, call Mr. Jon Smythe, Athletic Director, for more information at 987-8575.
• The Band’s Flag Team has evening practices, and, beginning this week, students from Shenandoah Conservatory will be offering private instrument lessons at RCHS on Thursday evenings. These opportunities, and possibly others, are being made available through the efforts of RCHS parent Kathryn Treanor.
• The Adult Education program is in full swing through the public schools this fall. Classes include Welding, Word Processing, Intro to the Internet and Yoga. These classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at RCHS. Jan Makela, Program Coordinator, is anxious to talk with folks who might be willing to share their expertise in a given area. If you are interested in taking or teaching an Adult Ed class, please call 9878259 today. Brochures for the Winter Session (to begin in February) will be available in December. Remember: classes make wonderful gifts for that “hard to buy for” person on your holiday list!
