Robert Alfred Saffell, 85, of Strasburg died Thursday, Oct. 4 at Winchester Medical Center.
Graveside services with military honors by the Culpeper American Legion Post 330 and Culpeper VFW Post 2524 will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Mr. Saffell was born Jan. 22, 1916 in Front Royal. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and worked as a hardwood floor installer.
He was the husband of the late Georgia Lee Saffell.
Surviving are a son, Bobby Saffell of Strasburg; two daughters, Joyce Ann Webber of Winchester and Shirley Jean North of Chester Gap; a sister, Marie Mills of Ashland; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Enders & Shirley Funeral Home in Stephens City was in charge of the arrangements.
