“No Ordinary Person," Ki Theatre's delightful and hugely popular annual evening of autobiographical storytelling, will he presented this year on Friday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m.
Featuring storytellers Barbara Adolfi, Joyce Abell and Sallie Morgan, this year’s program promises to be one of the most varied evenings since this series’ inception.
In her first stage appearance, Barbara Adolfi stretches the concept of autobiography in two adventurous ways. In her first piece, she reinterprets the fairy tale. “The Three Bears," giving it a modern twist about family relations.
In her second piece, she sweeps us along through the days of her strict Italian Catholic childhood dominated by three strong women, her grandmother, great aunt and mother, and reveals how. this summer in Tuscany, those childhood restrictions burst open in the vivid “Dance of the Tarantula." She will be assisted in the dancing section by Jeanne Drevas, with drumming by Lorraine Culculli.
