Our Shenandoah Valley is confronted by an economic and environmental disaster of huge proportions - the creation of a mega-landfill in Page County designed to attract 1,500 tons of garbage everyday, most of it trucked in over our congested highways and through our scenic small towns by 150 tractor-trailers everyday. This prospect poses a terrible threat to our safety on the roads, our air quality, our ground water, our quality of life.

My opponent's role in creating this calamity raises serious questions about his suitability for public office. Yet when asked to respond to my challenge to debate the situation, he claimed to be “too busy.” The following are some of the questions he will not discuss with the voters:
