The Rappahannock County
Department of Social Services is actively seeking patient and caring couples and individuals to serve as foster parents for girls and boys from birth through 18 years of age.
Children are placed in foster care, usually temporarily, for many reasons. While family problems are being resolved, these young children require secure and caring environments. Foster parents become part of a team effort to care for dependent children and youth and to reunite families with their children.
Foster parents make a difference in the lives of children and youth. Although most foster child placements are less than six months, foster parents are given financial assistance, training and 24-hour support services.
