Ihe Kappahannock County High School boys soccer team traveled to Madison County on May 10, ending with a tied 2-2 score.

The Panthers came out early, making the first goal, which was answered quickly by the Mountaineers.

A foul on the Mountaineers against Rapp’s Alex Ramey in the box resulted in a penalty kick, which Rapp’s Dos Allen capitalized upon, earning the goal for the 2-1 lead.

With only four minutes left, Madison took the defensive shot from the 18-yard line.

“Will Sonnett had it covered, but it hit a clump of grass and took a Madison bound and went into the goal,” said Rapp coach, Shay Bell.

After two overtime periods, the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
