Abell suggested that many of the young people who grow up in rural areas want to escape them. There is often a feeling that the rural lifestyle is too quiet and the excitement of a larger city must be sought. Abell said she does see some young people return to the area after they have seen what the rest of the world has to offer and this gives her hope.
Over the next few weeks the stories of these young farmers will be told in an attempt to get the word out about this innovative project.
