j Cmdr. Irving O. Wolf of Woodville was speaker at an assembly '< Friday at Rappahannock County High School. He spoke on patrio■I tism, stressing to the student body the importance of loyalty in the J home, community, and school, and challenging them to assume J their duties as responsible, loyal citizens. Cmdr. Wolf presented a | flag to the school and the junior class also presented a flag. .Timmy . Jenkins, president of the junior class dedicated the flags and they ! were accepted by principal H. B. Winfrey. The Pledge of ; Allegiance was given by the assembly and the National Anthem • ' concluded the program.
r*Boy Scout Troop 65 of Sperryville attended a spring camporee of CShenrapawa District held at the Thunderbird Ranch at the Fork ^District of Warren County during the past week-end. Thirteen {^members from the Sperryville Troop attended, along with some Ul90 other scouts from neighboring areas. In the competitive •w. events the Sperryville troop placed second in a tent peg relay, for J which they received a plaque. Highlights of the week-end included ; a night maneuver Friday evening, fishing, competitive events, and a camp fire Saturday evening which was attended by friends and i parents. Sunday morning a worship service was held by the Rev. Layton Mauze of the Front Royal Presbyterian Church. Scouts of troop 65 were Roy Reeve, George Woodard, Tim Kilby, C. E.
