The Rappahannock County Garden Club produced a spectacular flower show last Saturday and it was well worth the trip to the Washington Volunteer Fire Hall to see it. The theme of the show ' was A Tribute to Rappahannock County. It was amazing to see so many varieties of stunning flowers and arrangements. According to Publicity Chairman Helen Platt the design division paid homage to aspects of life in our county. Winner of class one, for novice exhibitors, was Ruth Baumgardener, with a “Tribute to Springtime in the Blue Ridge.” Class two, “A Tribute to Our Heritage,” was won by Breezy Gannon. Helen Brown, president of the garden club, won class three and Tricolor award for her “A Tribute to Agriculture,” arrangement. Carol MilW took first place for her table design in class four, “A Tribute to the Hunt,” designed for a tailgate party. “ATVibute to the Rappahannock River,” class five, was won by Frances RusselL Class six, “A Tribute to the Artist,” was won by Celine Siira. Helen Platt took first place for her arrangement for “A Tribute to the Park,” class seven.
