On Saturday, April 30, the Rappahannock District of the Boy Scouts of America held a Corporate Pinewood Derby in Tappahannock. In this event, businesses sponsored Pinewood Derby cars built by area Cub Scouts.
The event was held in the showroom of Chandler Chevrolet. The r*ars raced on a track built by John Hamel of King William County.
Six Tappahannock businesses sponsored the event which benefited the Heart of Virginia Council Friends of Scouting
