A 2005 Tioga Recreational Vehicle driven by Grit Dieke, 32, originally from Germany, but currently living in New York, NY struck a 2005 GSX 1300 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by Michael Anthony Cooper, 31, of Winchester, VA on Thursday, May 12 at approximately 5:15 p.m. at the junction of Route 522 and Hume Road. Cooper was transported to Warren Memorial Hospital by a Front Royal Rescue Squad and treated for chest injuries, a broken leg and numerous injuries to his hands. Dieke was charged with failure to yield the right of way by Virginia State Trooper Derrick Mauck who responded to the accident.
