• Rappahannock Friends and Lovers of Our Watershed (RappFLOW) monthly meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday May 26 at the Rappahannock Library. The latest findings from the Thornton River watershed study, and the brand new newsletter, RappFlow Currents, will be discussed. All are welcome. All items for publication in the Thursday, June 2 edition should be submitted by 3 p.m. Friday, May 27. • Rappahannock County government offices will be closed Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday, May 31. • The Rappahannock National Bank will be closed Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday, May 31. • The BB&T Bank in Flint Hill will be dosed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen Tuesday, May 31. • Rappahannock County public schools and the Rappahannock County School Board will be closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day and will reopen on Tuesday, May 31. • On Thursday, June 2 the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street in Washington. • Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, June 7 at the Rappahannock County Library at 7:15 p.m. Refreshments and conversation take place from 7:15 until 7:45 when the general meeting will begin.
