1830s home. An added bonus was the opportunity to admire several restored antique automobiles belonging to John Anderson that were on display — including a royal blue 1926 Cadillac limousine and a 1929 Model A Ford.

With all the hoop skirts and bonnets of the docents and striking period costumes worn by the Virginia Calvary officers, it was easy to imagine that one was strolling on the grounds of a successful 1800s Virginia plantation. Everywhere one looked there were beautiful unspoiled vistas of fields and mountains with little or no hint of the 21st century as far as the eye could see.
