The Washington High School Class of 1935 reunion was held at the Flint Hill Public House on Friday, May 6.
Guests were treated to a delicious dinner which included grilled rainbow trout with Shitake mushrooms and ending with a perfect strawberry crisp.
Four members attended this year’s reunion.
All four were remembered in in a special way. Franklin Boldridge
“Sparky”
"Brains, willingness and school spirit, guided by highest ideals.” He became a chemistry professor at Randolph Macon College. Married Mary and has two children and four grandchildren. He retired in 1983 and now works in his church, as member of the rescue squad and does other volunteer work. He claims to be a master gardener. He liked all of his teachers and says he had no favorite. However, it must have been Alfred Bowers. They had a lot in common. Mabel Pullen “Sallie”

Married Carson Lillard. Seven children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A true matriarch. Retired in 1980 after a distinguished career as postmaster of Flint Hill Post Office. She says her greatest achievements were marrying a wonderful man and raising a farm
