“Once I became a partner with David,” Smith said, “I decided we needed to fast track things with Sunnyside. It was a bad idea from the beginning, the retail end was too big — too commercial. We need to go back to it being small town.”
With that, Smith has been making regular visits to the Sperry ville location, attempting to make the changes necessary to create more of a community atmosphere. One of the first changes Smith wanted was a change in the name of the facility, which has been known as Sunnyside Farms Famous Rest Stop.
