The Orphan Tour moves to a new location each year. As many as 50 antique cars have driven the Tour in certain years. The event is sponsored in 2005 by Mid-Atlantic Packards (a region of the Packard Club), the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club, the Potomac Ramblers chapter of the AMC-Rambler Club, and the Potomac Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club. The purpose of the Tour is to promote the driving enjoyment of antique "orphan” vehicles.
