“We have to offer more than organic toilet paper and big chickens to the community,” Smith laughed, “and we are now gourmet sauce central.”

The market within the complex, located in the old Sperryville High School building, has begun selling deli-style sandwiches, offering a similar fare that was previously available at Rae’s Place and Deli and as of Friday, a new pizza oven was installed, offering a delicious herb crust and fresh toppings — no canned veggies, according to Jonathan Partin, chef at Sunnyside Farms.
