Applicant David F. Gillis explained that when the assisted care facility was originally designed in 1999, it was appropriated and approved for an eight-bedroom facility.
However, he had not wished to utilize the facility to it fullest capacity. Gillis is in the process of selling the facility and said that the purchasers are interested in the expansion.
Gillis responded that the facility has passed annual fire marshal inspections as well as health department and Department of Social Service inspections since its opening.
