The 16th annual Orphan Car Tour will take place on Saturday, June 4 over scenic byways of Clarke and Frederick Counties east of Winchester, Virginia. The Tour welcomes participation of "orphan” (discontinued make) antique automobiles which are at least 25 years old.
Cars will assemble at the Blue Ridge Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., 131 Retreat Rd., (Rte. 7, near Bluemont) at 11:00 AM Saturday. Cars will be released onto the Tpur route (of approximately 45 miles) one-at-a-time, starting about 11:30. Each driver will be given a set of printed instructions and will travel the route at his or her own speed. Also printed on the sheets are questions pertaining to sights glimpsed along the way, to test participants’ observational skills.
