Helen Veatrice Campfield Sylvester, 84, of Castleton died Monday, May 23, at her home.
She was bom July 2, 1920 in Forest City, North Carolina to the late Earnest and Hallie Campfield.
Mrs. Sylvester graduated from Wake Forest University in 1-M?. She was a member of Amissville Baptist Church where she played the organ for many years, and in the past played at Providence Baptist Church in Vienna. Mrs. Sylvester loved reading, music, ceramics, gardening, hooking and braiding, needle stitch and sewing. She cherished and spoiled her little dog “Bear” who she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Michael Jean Sylvester, Jr. of Castleton, one daughter, Donna Sylvester of Castleton, one son, Jan Sylvester and his wife, Janet
