Alex Sharp, the Board of Zoning Appeals member who also sits on the County Planning Commission, was the only member to oppose the denial.
Therefore, the decision to deny the Williams’ application was approved by a majority vote of the members.
In additional old business on the commission’s agenda, a special use permit for the Alvin and Lori Dore family apartment application was unanimously approved by the Planning Commission.
The Dore’s application appropriated for an apartment to be built over a threecar garage which does have a separate access from the garage and does conform with all other county ordinances according to the commission.
