kova, the neighboring landlord’s unmarried daughter who with her father’s frustrated shove finally receives the “proposal,” is Pat Hamilton who has appeared in a number of Ki Theatre productions, including “The Shepherds’ Play.” And the father of the bride-to-be in the comedy is Michael Mahoney, who plays the part of Stepan Stepanovich Chubukov. Mahoney has appeared on stage for many years in various Ki Theatre plays.

Popular Warrenton-based actress Stephanie Mastri takes the role of Yelena Ivanovna Popova, a landowner and “lovely widow with dimples.” Mastri debuted at Ki Theatre in 1992 in the original one act play, “Rhythms” and has appeared regularly in Ki Theatre productions. Taking the role of the Grigory Stephanovitch Smirnov, the debt collector who, uninvited, moves in with the landowner to collect a debt is Philip Rosemond.
