In addition to local disasters, they also support the National Organization during major catastrophes. They have sent over 60 volunteers to the Gulf Coast to assist in providing aid to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and now Rita as well. Their volunteers have come not only from Fauquier County, but also Culpeper and Rappahannock County.
“We sincerely thank the Rappahannock National Bank for their wonderful contribution to the Katrina Hurricane Relief fund. It would be difficult to raise the amount of money needed without. the support of the business community,” said Hicks.
