date in a way that respected its heritage. It is a craftsman-style bungalow of the 20s and that is what we’ve sought to restore. And besides, we like antiques, especially those of the early 20th century and the Roaring 20s,” said Mary Catherine Worley.

The Worley’s vision for the interior of the house extended to the outside as well. In keeping with the character of the house, they created a new side porch with a striking pergola for their side entrance that looks like it was part of the original house. Their good friend, Buddy Darden, an architect from Flint Hill, designed the pergola. Off the breakfast room at the rear of the house, the Worley’s built a new terraced garden with a stone patio that offers a quiet sanctuary for spending pleasant evenings ait outdoor cookouts. Maiy Catherine is an avid gardener and helped plant new trees and shrubs to compliment the spacious yard and flower gardens.
