Mrs. Jenkins is survived by five devoted children, David Smoot and Mary M. Smoot both of Strasburg, Carol V. Wagenblatt-Nelson of Tulsa, OK, Maiy E. Jenkins of Front Royal, and Linda S. Alexander of Woodstock; a step-daughter Dolly Nicholson of Sperryville; , Additional survivors include three brothers, Silas J. Foster of Front Royal, Downing Foster of H agars town, MD., and Jesse Lee Foster of Sperryville; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous stepgrandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, William Allen Smoot, David Matthew Smoot, Jr., Richard David Wagenblatt, Andrew Charles Wagenblatt, Charles Allen Alexander, and Chadwick Lee Alexander.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 23 at Maddox Funeral Home with Rev. Leah DeLong officiating. Burial was followed at Willis; Chapel Cemetery. A reception was held following the burial at the Willis Chapel Old Reager School house.
