Sooner or later it had to happen. The gas prices are pretty awful and nearly everybody has to get in their two cents’ worth. Even ine. Here’s a bit of food for thought.

I have friend who is practically addicted to the stock market and the little tickers that some of the business channels run across the bottom of your TV screen. I find them a nuisance and an intrusion into that time that I have already set aside to waste watching TV. But, he thinks they are wonderful. To each his own, I guess.

Anyway, he tells a story something like this: If you hear in the morning that a barrel of crude oil has increased in price by a dollar overnight, or if there is the threat of another hurricane in the Gulf, by the time you get to the filling station, the price of gas will have gone up.
