Time for
a change
Hasn’t this been one heck of a summer? If we haven’t been plagued enough by the blame game that is going on in Washington, D.C., soaring gas prices, and impeding real estate reassessment, Mother Nature has dished out enough misery to last us for years to come. There’s very little uplifting news nationwide. The hurricanes have everyone scrambling to help and giving most folks a chance to relish the gift of perspective. Now, the mornings are cooler. The leaves are signaling that they are ready for new dresses - more color than shades of green. Pumpkins have emerged seemingly overnight to sprinkle bright orange dots throughout the county. Football players can see their breath. Sweaters are coming out of closets and soon we won’t be seeing anymore open-toed sandals. We’ve entered the autumn equinox and we’re about to fall into a new season. Let’s enjoy its fleeting months before winter sets in. Let’s also embrace this time of renewal - for like the leaves transforming into brilliant colors — true change comes from within.
