The increased role of special use permits is characteristic of a trend towards increased flexibility for the town in this draft of the comprehensive plan. Similar changes reinforce this flexibility, with new language allowing the town to increase the current 60,000 gallon capacity of the treatment system “if it deems it netessary ..and even to revise the new comprehensive plan early if needed.
