Nels Parson is organizing a pot luck dinner for Saturday, October 8 starting at 5:30 at the Washington Fire Hall.
“More than 30 area churches and agencies are already involved,” said Parson who has orchestrated the event.
All proceeds will go to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. There will be updates on what is being done locally to help and information on how you can help.
While specific groups have agreed to bring various food items, there’s always room for more.
“If people aren’t affiliated with a particular church or group and would like to come, they’re encouraged and welcomed and can bring what they like,” said Parson.
