something that F. T. Baptist had lacked for 210 years, bathrooms. The congregation’s new home also included a nursery, a kitchen, a storage and utility room, a fellowship hall and a central foyer connecting the old and new sections of the church.

Most of the labor and equipment used in the improvements were contributed by members of the church, most of whom were farmers.

Through the years, this church has played an important role in the social and spiritual life of Rappahannock citizens.

F. T. Baptist is noted not only for her history and meeting house but also for her friendly members. There are approximately 70 active members with Rev. Daniel Yowell as their minister. A Sunday School program, a youth group and an adult choir are all part of the church and its ministry. Everyone is welcome.
