as a musician, composer and arranger, Willis has gained well deserved recognition over the years. He is a three-time Grammy nominee with Fort Apache, as well as pianist on two of their New York Jazz Critics Award-winning CDs. He was also on Roy Hargrove’s Grammy-winning Crisol Band CD and toured for three years with Roy. Currently, in addition to solo performances, Willis tours with his own Trio and Quintet, as well as with Fort Apache from time to time. He tours both nationally and internationally.
Recently, Willis composed an orchestral suite for the Florida Southern College Symphony Orchestra, and performed it in concert. He has also been a featured soloist with an Italian chamber orchestra, performing his own compositions.
