In 2006, a non-election year, Dominion’s donations to 216 candidates and causes totaled $542,019, and was second only to the donations made by corporations and individuals to cover the cost of Gov. Tim Kaine’s inauguration ($564,601).
A quick analysis of Dominion’s donations shows that of the total, 62 percent went to Republican candidates and causes, 37 percent to Democrats.
In the House of Delegates, Dominion made 132 direct donations, totaling $129,727. Tbp recipients were Adam Ebbin (D-Fairfax/Arlington), $4,900; Franklin P. Hall (D-Chesterfield), $18,750; and Brian Moran (D-Fairfax/Arlington), $5,500.
