REPEAL OF §151-7, LOCAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS

SERVICE TAX, OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE

The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County shall hold a public hearing on the repeal of §151-7 of the Rappahannock County Code on Monday, February 5, 2007, at 7:00PM at the Courthouse in Washington, VA.

The repeal is occasioned by changes in state law (§58.1-645, et seq.), that has created a new Virginia Communications Sales and Use Tax, replacing the former Local Telecommunications Service Tax.

All interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment on this proposed repeal, or to mail their comments to John W. McCarthy, County Administrator, PO Box 519, Washington, VA 22747.
