After the decision, Glier and' school co-director Monica Nixon embraced as the crowd in the courtroom applauded.
“We knew that the county wanted us,” Glier said. “We’re just happy that a suitable location came along.”
Twenty students are enrolled at the farm school, which serves seventh-, eighthand ninth-graders. The permit application calls for a maximum capacity of 30 students.
The Flint Hill location will bring the farm, school closer to Mountain Laurel’s main school in Front Royal. Glier said she hopes to start classes at the Flint Hill property next fall.
The Board of Supervisors will have the final say on the permit application at its Feb. 5 meeting.
